Grand jury declines to act in shooting PRATTVILLE -- The Autauga County grand jury took no action Monday in a case in which a Prattville police officer wounded a Prattville man who was firing on the officer. Officer Mike Vineyard wounded William Howard Burson III in a late-night incident Dec. 28 at Burson's residence at 107 Trina Court. "The Autauga County grand jury reviewed the evidence and took no action on the matter," said District Attorney Randall Houston. The grand jury's decision not to indict Vineyard "would indicate that they determined ... the shooting was justified," Houston said.
