Strichik found guilty

Wetumpka - Larry Strichik, owner of Boomer T's Bar-B-Que, in Wallsboro was found guilty on two counts of harassment. Strichik was sentenced by Judge Maura Culberson to three months in jail on each charge. That was suspended and he will serve a total of 30 days in the Elmore County Jail. Strichik was ordered to pay a $300 fine for each case and has been ordered to participate in a court referral program for anger management. Once released from jail, Strichik will serve 12 months on probation.

Larry Strichik is presently serving probation and has a suspended jail, term from a previous harassment conviction along with an assault in the third degree in which he plead guilty.

Randall Houston District Attorney for the 19th Judicial Circuit stated, "Mr. Strichik has consistently shown disrespect for the law and the citizens of this state through his uncontrollable behavior. Judge Culberson's sentencing sends a strong message that the rights of individual citizens will be protected in this county.
