Montgomery Advertiser The Autauga County grand jury met Friday morning for its final day of deliberations, despite light snow falling in Prattville. Chief Justice Sue Bell Cobb ordered all courthouses to be closed Friday due to weather concerns. Members of the panel in Prattville volunteered to come in, said District Attorney Randall Houston. "I told them if they didn't think it was safe to stay home, but we had a full panel show up," he said. The grand jury entered its final report about 9:30 a.m. then recessed. The grand jury heard 193 cases, returning 146 indictments, courthouse records show. The panel also reviewed state audits of the Autauga County Sheriff's Office and the Rehabilitation Board and found no indictable offenses, the records show. |
