The suspect in the fire that gutted the historic Hotel Talisi had his status changed from juvenile to adult Friday.

Dylan Keith Carroll, 17, faces multiple charges, including two counts of arson, in connection with the fire that started in a consignment store and spread to the 81-year-old Tallassee landmark.

Warrants are being issued today, and the case will be presented to the Elmore County Grand Jury the week of April 5, according to District Attorney Randall Houston’s office.

Along with the arson charges, Carroll is charged with burglary, theft of property, criminal mischief, breaking and entering of a motor vehicle and possession of burglary tools.
